About the skit
Nobody believes them. Micah told his brother, and his brother felt his forehead. Nathan keeps going back to the same question: of everyone in Judea, why did the angel come to two tired men on a night shift?
The humor is dry and gentle (Micah insists he didn’t scream, he gave a warning cry for the sheep), and the angel’s words from Luke 2:10–11 sit right in the middle. It ends on an open question your pastor can pick up from the pulpit.
Two actors, two stools and a stuffed lamb. The lines are short enough to learn in an evening, and the staging notes cover the handoff to the sermon.

(Lights up, low. NATHAN sits by the fire, staring into it. MICAH sits next to him, holding the lamb by one back leg while it wiggles.)
MICAH: (to the lamb) Stop. Stop it. You were there. You saw the same thing I did.
NATHAN: He doesn't believe it either.
MICAH: Nobody believes it. I told my brother. He felt my forehead.
(A pause. NATHAN keeps staring at the fire.)
NATHAN: I keep thinking about it.
MICAH: The light?
NATHAN: The light. All those voices. (a beat) That he came to us.
MICAH: Yeah. That part's weird.
NATHAN: Think about it. All of Judea. Priests. Scribes. Rich men in Jerusalem with clean robes. And the angel of the Lord shows up... here. To us. (a beat) Why us?
