About the skit
The pitch: a young girl, an angel, a carpenter, a road trip, no room at the hotel and a baby in a feeding trough. The Producer hates all of it. A dream sequence? Lazy. A sky full of angels? Do you know what wings cost? Every “no” gets a click from Tyler, the assistant.
The writers keep going, past the manger and the flight to Egypt, all the way to the cross and the empty tomb. By the end the Producer has one question left, and the answer is in Kayla’s tote bag.
Four teens, a desk and a clicker, and every role works for guys or girls. It’s a strong opener for a youth talk, especially one on the resurrection. The ending needs a Bible that says nothing is impossible with God at Luke 1:37; the props list says which ones do.

(Lights up. The PRODUCER sits behind the desk, scrolling on a phone. TYLER stands to one side with the clicker. KAYLA and MARCUS sit at the two front corners of the desk, holding their folder.)
PRODUCER: (not looking up) You've got five minutes. Go.
KAYLA: Okay. Limited series. Working title: "Christmas."
PRODUCER: Bold. Who's the audience?
KAYLA: Everybody.
PRODUCER: Nobody makes anything for everybody.
MARCUS: That's kind of the point.
PRODUCER: (waving a hand) Go.
KAYLA: A small town. A young girl named Mary. An angel shows up and tells her she's going to have a baby, and that the baby is the Son of God.
PRODUCER: And the dad?
MARCUS: That's the thing. She's a virgin. The angel says God will do it.
PRODUCER: No. Too much. Audiences won't buy it. (TYLER clicks.)
MARCUS: She has questions too. She actually asks the angel how this is even possible.
PRODUCER: Then the angel should answer.
KAYLA: He does.
PRODUCER: Great. What's the answer?
MARCUS: Basically, "God can do this."
PRODUCER: That's not an answer, that's a mic drop. (TYLER clicks.) Next.
